Check out LIVE!

by Boris Mann ()

Suw came up to me and wanted to remind me that people are collaboratively taking notes with SubEthaEdit, and wanted to know where to put it.

I created a LIVE! section (see the button at the top navigation). Create an account and you can edit and add pages.

Lightning Talkers

by Boris Mann ()

Thanks to all the people that submitted their request to demo a tool. We've got a great selection of "Lightning Talkers" in the schedule.

I'm going to be moderating the event, and I have some tricks up my sleeve. I'm not sure exactly what kind of stunt I'm going to pull, but it's going to be fun, and it's going to involve audience participation.

Feel free to make up banners, signs, or bring noisemakers to cheer/jeer the tool demonstrations. Now, where did I put that moose costume...

Brian and I on the CBC

by Darren Barefoot ()

Cross-posted from

This morning Brian Lamb and I rose at a ridiculous hour to talk to Rick Cluff on the Early Edition about Northern Voice and blogging. Despite our grogginess (well, at least my grogginess) and gravelly voices, I don't think we embarrassed ourselves too badly:

I'm also going to be doing a follow-up open line session on blogging with BC Almanac next Monday from 1:00 - 2:00pm.

As is so often the case with media coverage, when it rains it pours. We also got a piece on blogging (with more of a corporate focus, expiring link) in the Business section of today's paper. Conference volunteer and Capulet star Lindsay took one for the team and had her photo taken among the conference t-shirts.

Please use northernvoice for Tagging, IRC etc.

by Roland Tanglao ()

Please use the tag "northernvoice" for your flickr,, Technorati, jots, etc. tags for blog posts, podcasts, photos, etc. pertaining to the conference.

We don't have official IRC channels or monitors but please feel free to add your own!

Update (by Boris): if you're an attendee and already have a blog, we should have already added you to our sources; posts are pulled in automatically on the news aggregator page (the "Voices" button on the navigation above). Leave a comment with a link to your blog if it hasn't been added yet.
